Welcome to my website, an online paintings gallery for my different types of Art. Here you will find portrait work, as well as horse paintings, wildlife art, fairy art and other decorative art. The fantasy art is mainly done in water colour and inks while the other works are mostly oil paintings. I do a lot of commissioned work and am able to paint most subjects with an emphasis on capturingf the unique spirit of the subject' whether human or animal. I offer portraits in pencil as well as oil and on occassion water colour.
There is definitely a magical quality about many of the animal paintings too. Such animals as white tigers, snow leopards and especially the ethereal white horses are so fabulously beautiful that they verge on the surreal!
My general purpose in art is to celebrate the beauty I find in all my subjects and in the natural as well as the imaginative world! Although Art may also be used to reveal ugliness and despair and show "truth", I feel the newspapers and TV do this well enough already and my preferred truth is to elevate, rather than depress, the human spirit further.
In the case of endangered species, I also try to help both by direct donations and through raising awareness of the threat so many live under now. This was done with the Snow Leopard Portrait here and you can find more information about him on the Wildlife page. In the online shop there are various
